The Norwegian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted (NABP)  

- NABP has been supporting us since inception in 1987. NABP has been for a long time the financial incubator of AFUB, covering the overhead expenses of running the secretariat and board activities.

The Swedish Association of the Visually Impaired (SRF)

- SRF was instrumental in the inception of the Union. SRF has been championing women and youth empowerment and human rights!

Sightsavers

- Our partnership with Sightsavers was formalized in 2007 with the AVIYEP project. However, Sightsavers has been supporting us in many ways, including through The Institutional Development Programme (IDP).

The International Council on the Education of Persons with Visual Impairment

- With the launch of the EFA-VI campaign (Education for All Visually Impaired Persons) together with the WBU, AFUB has been a key player in Africa. The regional Coordinator for Africa is hosted by the AFUB Secretariat.

WBU

- We work hand in hand with our parent organization WBU. AFUB president sits on the WBU Table Officers. We have jointly launched a few campaigns and implemented projects.

World Braille Foundation

- With the generous support of the Canadian International Development Agency, the World Braille Foundation and AFUB work together to increase access to education by visually impaired girls and boys in different African countries. .

The Canadian National Institute for the Blind

- Our partnership with CNIB dates to 2005, upon implementing the HIV/AIDS project. The project has had far-reaching impact and was extended to more countries in 2008.

The European Blind Union

- EBU and AFUB jointly launched the African Solidarity Trust Fund. The latter is designed to help AFUB member organizations undertake income-generating projects.

Danish Association of the Blind

- DAB has been a champion of women empowerment and has partnered with us in a few projects in this regard.

Disability Rights Promotion International (DRPI)

- We have partnered with DRPI in a pioneer project, conducting research to document the systemic cases of human rights violations committed against persons with disabilities.
